Growing up in a household full of fantasy, there came a time her trust was broken. She realised she could not believe everything she was told and that narratives could be constructed with minimal means. This sparked her ongoing fascination with how people steer perceptions of who they are.
Her work investigates the strategies people use to become visible, legitimate, or powerful through tricks, stories and image-making. By deconstructing these mechanisms, she repurposes them to serve her often feminist agenda.
Working across photography, video, text, and installation, she places the relationship between the image and reality at the core of her practice.
